Cheshire School of Photography

Discover everything you need to know about taking great photographs with bespoke one to one tuition courses in Chester.

Basic Photography -

Whether you want to learn basic photography or just want to clarify everything you already know, this is the place for you. Once you have learned basic photography techniques, you have the freedom to take great photographs of anything you are passionate about. You will be able to capture truly amazing landscapes and create beautiful portraits of your family and friends.

This session starts by answering basic questions such as – Why does my camera have so many different settings? What is aperture? What is correct exposure? What is shutter speed?

You will then grab hold of your camera and start taking great photographs, putting into practice the things you have learnt in the classroom to achieve great results. Please note participants need to bring any camera with a manual setting

Learn How to Shoot Stunning Landscapes -

Have you ever seen a beautiful landscape, but been disappointed with your photograph of it? Learn where you went wrong. It’s all about light and understanding the difference between what your eye can see and what your camera can record and this action packed course is designed to show you how.

Come rain or come sunshine you will spend the day ‘getting to grips’ with landscape photography. You will learn how to take beautiful images with minimal equipment; how light affects your images and how to make the very best of any location. The way light strikes across a landscape will make or break your photography. It is important that you know how to use the light that is already there. Even on dull days, there is light and shadow. You will learn how to see that light and use it to your advantage. You will be amazed at the results you will be going home with.

Please note participants need to bring any camera with a manual setting and a tripod.

Bespoke training days-

As your learning requirements and goals are unique, so too will be this bespoke course which starts by getting to know you and what you want to achieve. It always ends with great images that you have taken and the knowledge of how to recreate them again at anytime.
